About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Northwood Plaza Hotel and Banquet Room. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, public areas, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Disinfection and Sanitation: Disinfect operating rooms and other areas, clean and disinfect elevators, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Guest Services: Provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities, offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, apply accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
