Maintain a robust understanding of the analytical principles underpinning the new capital requirements in FRTB, addressing issues related to the modeling of financial instruments and risk factors.
Provide leadership, direction, and empowerment to the team, alongside management.
Facilitate the development of analysts through cross-training and indirect coaching, serving as a resource for daily processes and ad-hoc tasks.
Assist in identifying high-caliber candidates who will integrate seamlessly into the team.
QualificationsPossess relevant industry experience in liquidity or risk management, along with appropriate accreditation.
Demonstrate a commitment to quality work and a solid understanding of risk management, governance compliance, and control practices.
Experience in Market Risk measurement and reporting, including concepts such as VaR, Stress Testing, and FRTB is essential.
Knowledge of financial instruments, regulations, and market risk metrics, acquired through academic or practical experience, is required.
A strong grasp of the Regulatory and Compliance environment is necessary.
Familiarity with risk, valuations, and reporting systems is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications is expected.
Programming skills in VBA, Python, or SQL are beneficial for developing and enhancing the risk management infrastructure used to capture and analyze risk.
A degree in Risk Management, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or other quantitative disciplines is required. Pursuit or completion of CFA/FRM is a plus.
