Our Product: SKIIN, our inaugural consumer brand, aims to enhance human capabilities through connected textiles. Currently in beta-phase market launch, SKIIN has received a Health Canada medical device license and is under FDA review for the US market.
Your Role: As a Senior Corporate and Litigation Counsel, you will be the external voice of Myant, engaging with customers globally. You will work on a variety of legal matters, including:
- Advising on complex commercial agreements and legal issues
- Conducting legal risk assessments for business decisions
- Participating in cross-functional projects related to health and privacy legislation
- Overseeing regulatory compliance and risk management
- Drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts
- Providing strategic legal advice to support daily operations
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of corporate and commercial legal experience, preferably in technology and startups
- LLB or JD and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Training from a recognized Canadian law firm
- Strong understanding of corporate and contract law
- Ability to identify legal risks and propose effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex legal concepts
- Knowledge of healthcare, patent, and employment law
- US legal experience is an asset
