Job Title: Asphalt Raker

Golderado Contracting Corp is seeking a skilled Asphalt Raker to join our team. As an Asphalt Raker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our road construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess road conditions and job requirements to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Operate an asphalt rake to spread and level asphalt materials, maintaining a high level of quality and productivity.
  • Shovel excess asphalt and sweep up debris to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Verify and set the angle and depth of the asphalt screed as required to ensure proper asphalt placement.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
  • Perform other road construction and labor duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy construction.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an asphalt raker required.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and road construction materials.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
  • Proficient English language skills required.
  • A reliable means of transportation is required.
