Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Asphalt Raker to join our team at Golderado Contracting Corp. As an Asphalt Raker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our pavement maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess road conditions and job requirements to determine the best course of action for asphalt application.
  • Spread asphalt with a rake using efficient techniques and maintain a good pace to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Shovel excess asphalt and sweep up debris to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Verify and adjust the angle and depth of the asphalt screed as required to ensure proper asphalt application.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
  • Perform other road construction and labor duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in heavy construction, preferably as an asphalt raker.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and road construction materials.
  • Ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Proficient English language skills.
  • A reliable means of transportation.
