Responsibilities

As a History Teaching Assistant, you will contribute to the learning experience of undergraduate students in various history courses. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to instructors with course materials and administrative tasks.
  • Leading discussion sections and facilitating student engagement.
  • Grading assignments and providing constructive feedback to students.
  • Holding office hours to assist students with their coursework.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be currently enrolled in your fourth year of an undergraduate program at Toronto Metropolitan University.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.3 (B+).
  • Have successfully completed a relevant history course with a grade of B+ or higher.
  • Demonstrate prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in the History department.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is based on your academic qualifications and experience:

  • TA I: $36.39 per hour
  • TA II/External: $36.39 per hour
  • Master's Degree: $47.06 per hour
  • PhD: $50.82 per hour
