Role Overview
As a Senior Non-Audit Accountant for Private Enterprises, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working collaboratively with team members to deliver outstanding service to clients across various industries and reporting frameworks.
- Planning, preparing, and executing reviews and compilations of financial statements, including determining budget and resource needs.
- Managing monthly and annual bookkeeping tasks for clients, including preparation and advisory services, as well as assisting with payroll and tax calculations.
- Preparing a variety of tax returns and addressing inquiries from tax authorities.
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, providing them with timely feedback and guidance.
- Contributing to our reputation as trusted business advisors in key sectors.
- Performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- A completed post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or bookkeeping for small to medium-sized owner-managed businesses.
- Strong technical knowledge in accounting principles.
- Experience in preparing tax returns.
- A commitment to providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships.
- Excellent planning and time management abilities.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to generate and present innovative ideas and solutions.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in mentoring junior staff is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software applications, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
