Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Design Project Coordinator to assist in managing projects within our Western Business Unit. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Design Managers and project teams to deliver comprehensive design coordination support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project managers and design managers in initiating design-related activities, including the creation of work breakdown structures, project management plans, and schedules.
  • Oversee the preparation of design submissions, ensuring timely delivery of reports, drawings, and specifications for client review.
  • Manage the production and formatting of specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
  • Maintain and update essential project documentation, including master specification lists, drawing lists, and consolidated comment logs.
  • Collaborate with design managers to ensure all submissions adhere to internal quality assurance and quality control protocols.
  • Develop and oversee internal project schedules for design, quality control, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication and document management across project collaboration platforms, ensuring seamless interaction among team members, clients, and subconsultants.
  • Assist in construction administration tasks, including the preparation of addenda and management of contractor submissions.
  • Support daily project needs as directed by design and project management teams.
  • Foster strong relationships with design managers and team members to ensure effective coordination and communication.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a professional office environment, preferably in project coordination within the architecture and engineering sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Bluebeam, ProjectWise, and SharePoint is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Problem-solving skills and a willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $87,000 - $119,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans.
