- Kitchen Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
- Work Setting: Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a physically demanding environment, with a focus on maintaining a high level of energy and productivity throughout the day.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
- Language: English or French.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
- Cultural Competency: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, and provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, and facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance.
