We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at AK Buttar Construction Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Site Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to meet project requirements.
- Structural Assembly: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a solid and secure structure.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to complete the project.
- Project Management: Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion and meet project deadlines.
- Team Leadership: Supervise other workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks efficiently.
- Cost Estimation: Estimate costs and materials required for projects to ensure accurate budgeting and planning.
- Newcomer Support: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees to help them integrate into the workforce.
- Youth Employment Support: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment to help them gain skills and experience.
- Veteran Support: Participate in government or community programs that support veterans to help them transition into the workforce.
- Indigenous Support: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people to help them access employment opportunities.
- Visible Minority Support: Participate in government or community programs that support members of visible minorities to help them access employment opportunities.
