About the Role

Pacific Coast Roofing & Contracting Ltd is seeking a skilled carpenter and construction expert to join our team. As a master craftsman, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create safe and durable structures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet client specifications.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices, ensuring they meet the required standards and safety protocols.
  • Supervise other workers, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • Estimate costs and materials, maintaining accurate records of expenses and resources.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in carpentry and construction, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
