Empire Communities is seeking a skilled Senior Estimator to join our High-Rise Procurement Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and implementing standards, procedures, and methodologies to optimize construction cost planning and budget management practices.
This position involves providing cost consulting, quantity take-offs, and full project construction budgeting support. You will work closely with management to implement strategies and provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and provide guidance on measurement of project statistics and functional areas.
- Develop and implement standards, procedures, and methodologies for construction cost planning and budget management.
- Provide cost consulting, quantity take-offs, and full project construction budgeting support.
- Work with management to implement strategies and provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Construction Management or relevant field of study.
- Working towards PQS designation or member of CIQS/RICS.
- 5+ years of experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or contract administration within the High-Rise residential construction industry.
- Strong knowledge in elemental cost analysis.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skilled in interpreting construction drawings and other technical documents used in residential construction.
- Excellent knowledge of SharePoint, Excel, and On Centre.
