Join Our Rehabilitation Team as a Speech Language Pathologist

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is on the lookout for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to enhance our Rehabilitation team at the Strong Rehabilitation Centre. We are committed to delivering exceptional care and improving the lives of our patients.

Position Overview:

  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for a range of communication and swallowing challenges.
  • Document client progress, provide education to clients and their families, and offer counseling and professional consultations.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions, risk management initiatives, and research activities, while mentoring new team members and Speech-Language Pathology students.

Qualifications:

  • Full registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia is required.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and familiarity with various healthcare disciplines.
  • Experience with Videofluoroscopic Assessment of Swallowing Studies (VFSS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) is essential.
  • Exceptional communication abilities and a talent for building effective relationships with healthcare colleagues.
  • Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
