We are seeking a data-oriented pricing executive to spearhead the development, execution, and enhancement of long-term pricing strategies. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will collaborate across various departments and lead the organization’s monetization strategy and policies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing the pricing function, including team development, process design, metric setting, and governance to meet corporate objectives.
The Senior Director of Pricing Strategy will be expected to formulate and validate hypotheses through market analysis, competitive assessments, customer insights, and analytical techniques. We are looking for a proactive leader who can foster cross-departmental collaboration, alignment, and execution. This role demands expertise in pricing strategy and the ability to provide strategic insights as we advance our overall business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive pricing strategy aligned with corporate goals.
- Create a roadmap for the future of the strategic pricing function.
- Lead and execute projects from conception to completion in collaboration with finance, marketing, product, sales, and customer success teams.
- Conduct analyses to inform pricing strategies that optimize sales, profitability, and customer segment engagement across various product lines and channels.
- Present recommended strategies to senior management and provide regular updates to executives.
- Facilitate the implementation of recommendations, coordinating with stakeholders across operations, sales, renewals, finance, marketing, and product divisions.
- Conduct 'Willingness to Pay' studies to determine pricing for new offerings.
- Develop and refine pricing models for both new and existing products.
- Work closely with sales and product management to understand product positioning and usage, reviewing pricing models and adjustments.
- Utilize a hypothesis-driven approach to create business cases that align pricing and packaging with customer value, driving growth.
- Oversee the creation of metrics and dashboards to monitor pricing performance and empower market teams to achieve results.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer segments, competitor pricing, and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with product, go-to-market, and finance teams to provide strategic recommendations and analyses that foster growth.
- Bachelor's degree with over 8 years of experience in Pricing Strategy. Experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or sales strategy is advantageous.
- Extensive pricing experience, preferably in Security, SaaS, Software, or Cloud Platforms.
- Knowledge of competitive pricing structures and discount strategies to inform campaign development.
- Broad commercial experience and acumen.
- Strong expertise in market and customer research methodologies.
- Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Proven experience in leading change management initiatives and working across diverse cultures.
- Excellent relationship-building and team collaboration skills, with the ability to act as a change agent.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Exceptional presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint.
