Job Responsibilities- Design and Development: Create game systems that meet the creative vision of the game's director, while adhering to production guidelines.
- Documentation and Communication: Standardize, document, and communicate game systems to the team, ensuring a unified understanding and facilitating collaboration.
- Prototyping and Testing: Participate in the production of prototypes to validate game systems, assess their effectiveness, and make data-driven design decisions.
- Game Design and Development: Collaborate with the Game Design Director to develop game design assets, using established methods to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Tool Development: Work with programming teams to develop tools required to implement and adjust game systems, ensuring seamless integration and efficient development.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related tasks as needed to support the game development process.
- Education: A college diploma in Game Design or a related field (an undergraduate degree is an asset).
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in video game design or a related field (having worked on a AAA game is an asset).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in professional game-editing software (Unity3D, Unreal, CryEngine, etc.) and their related scripting tools.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing experience in game design, development, and shipping at least one AAA game.
- Additional Qualifications: An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is an asset.
- Soft Skills: Adaptability, open-mindedness, creativity, and a thirst for innovation.
