Role Overview:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, collaborating closely with business units to understand their hiring needs and develop effective job descriptions. Your efforts will contribute significantly to creating a positive candidate experience and fostering a strong employer brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete recruitment cycle, from job posting to onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to craft detailed job descriptions and effective recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct thorough candidate searches to identify suitable applicants.
  • Serve as a primary contact for candidates, ensuring a welcoming and engaging recruitment experience.
  • Develop tailored interview guides that align with the skills and competencies required for each position.
  • Screen applications, perform initial phone interviews, and assist in the final selection process.
  • Coordinate interview schedules with hiring teams.
  • Facilitate reference checks and manage candidate referrals.
  • Promote job openings through various channels, including career fairs and community partnerships.
  • Prepare and extend job offers to selected candidates.
  • Oversee the distribution and tracking of onboarding documentation for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with recruitment policies and maintain consistency in hiring practices.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders to support workforce planning and talent management initiatives.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new employees in collaboration with business leaders.
  • Engage in employee retention strategies and initiatives.
  • Respond to inquiries from external sources regarding employment verification and other HR-related requests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Assist in the development of internal HR communications and resources.
  • Participate in various HR projects as needed.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and ALS health and safety policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong focus on customer service, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to exercise judgment, creativity, and integrity in problem-solving.
  • Proficient in utilizing various social media platforms for recruitment purposes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Fluency in French is a valuable asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Capable of managing urgent issues and escalations effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a diploma or degree in a relevant field.
  • Preferred designation in Human Resources (CPHR) or Recruitment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or talent acquisition.
  • Previous experience in customer service or office administration is advantageous.
