Job Summary:

The Business Instructor position at Yellowquill University College is a full-time opportunity to provide instruction and guidance to students in the Business Certificate Program. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, preparing curriculum, and providing academic and career counseling to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction in assigned classes and provide instructional assistance as needed.
  • Develop and prepare curriculum in accordance with adult learning principles and college standards.
  • Assist with student registration and provide advice on course selections.
  • Provide academic and career counseling to students, including guidance on career paths and professional development.
  • Develop course descriptions, including learning objectives, course topics, and evaluation methods.
  • Submit attendance reports, mid-term and final marks, and other reports as necessary.
  • Recommend texts, resources, and reference materials for classes taught.
  • Maintain an inventory of instructional materials and equipment for each class taught.
  • Assist in promoting the college at career events and provide information on college programs.
  • Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education Degree and/or Adult Education Certificate.
  • Previous business teaching experience and working with Aboriginal adults preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams).
  • Completion of a Criminal Record Check and a Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle.
