Food Store Manager

FAMILY PIZZA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Store Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities.
- Hire and Train: Recruit and train new staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Authorize Payments: Verify and authorize payments by cheque, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Order Merchandise: Source and purchase merchandise, ensuring that all products are of high quality and meet our standards.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules, ensuring that all staff members are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Sell Merchandise: Sell merchandise to customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all sales are accurately recorded.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Resolve Issues: Address and resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other operational challenges.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
- Work Setting: Rural area, remote location.
- Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, dependability, excellent written communication, initiative, judgement.
- Free Parking: Free parking available on site.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
