Job Description

The Field Planner and Estimator will serve as the primary point of contact for CEDA's Chemical Cleaning clients in the Fort McMurray and Conklin/Bonnyville area. This role is responsible for developing strategic plans and estimates for Chemical Cleaning projects, ensuring project completion in direct correlation to original cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create cost estimates for projects based on plan, client requirements, and agreed-upon contracts.
  • Act as project manager, overseeing projects on-site and supervising personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure work performance meets work plan schedule, quality, budget, and safety objectives, clearly communicating these objectives with dispatch and operations management.
  • Maintain project work-sites in a safe and environmentally sound condition, adhering to CEDA policies, procedures, and Safe Work Practices.
  • Prepare equipment layout, hookup requirements, and work lists for setup, processing, rig-down, and decontamination in advance to supply to dispatch.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relations by leading safe work performance and measurable key performance indicators.
  • Monitor customer feedback and corrective actions, using feedback to implement improvements and make adjustments to quality systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Represent CEDA as the face of the company on client sites, utilizing knowledge of Chemical Cleaning to speak knowledgeably with clients and promote CEDA's services.
  • Work with laboratory services and blend plant to coordinate chemistry needs required for project completion.
  • Familiarize yourself with client agreements to accurately control obligations and use existing agreements to build estimates.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Chemical Cleaning experience in industrial services/maintenance is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Class 5 license is required.
  • Class 1 or 3 license would be an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products, AutoCAD, and Visio would be an asset.

  • Highly motivated and proactive, eager to accept new challenges and work under minimal supervision.
  • Intermediate computer skills to build estimates and proposals in existing templates using Microsoft Office Suite products.
