Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist specializing in Polymer and Bioconjugate Chemistry to contribute to our cutting-edge mass cytometry initiatives. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently while collaborating with a dynamic team of scientists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently develop novel reagents for mass cytometry applications.
- Conduct thorough literature reviews and formulate scientific strategies.
- Synthesize and modify polymers, including organic and inorganic compounds.
- Utilize chemical analytical techniques (e.g., GPC, NMR) for reagent characterization.
- Conjugate synthesized reagents with biomolecules, such as antibodies.
- Employ reagents in bioanalytical assays, including suspension and imaging mass cytometry, and analyze resulting data.
- Document and report on the feasibility and manufacturability of new reagents.
- Support product scale-up efforts and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Collaborate with academic partners and contribute to original research publications.
- Train team members on key laboratory equipment and techniques.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges.
- Experience in polymer synthesis and characterization techniques.
- Familiarity with chemical modification of biomolecules and purification processes.
- Proficient in using advanced analytical instruments (e.g., ICP-MS, HPLC).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to relocate as necessary.
