Exciting Opportunity: Banquet Captain at Silver Hotel Group
The Silver Hotel Group is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our dynamic team. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for supervising the banquet staff and coordinating all food and beverage services within the banquet department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet guests in a friendly and warm manner, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.
- Coordinate with event hosts on all aspects of the banquet function, including menu planning, seating arrangements, and audiovisual equipment setup.
- Plan and organize banqueting department functions, including weddings, conferences, and corporate events.
- Oversee setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are in working order and that the space is clean and well-maintained.
- Respond quickly and accurately to guest requests, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Display excellent customer relation skills, building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of various banquet and food service techniques, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Experience with Point of Sales and Banqueting software, including inventory management and financial reporting.
- Prior experience as a Banquet Server or Captain in an upscale hotel, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Physical Aspects of Position:
- Frequent walking and standing, with the ability to move quickly and efficiently throughout the hotel and banquet spaces.
- Ability to bend and climb stairs, with the ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Reach with hands and arms in any direction, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
