Job Title: Registered Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Polson Park Free Methodist Church. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and exploring local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various mediums, including art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and maintain a safe and organized environment for children.
  • Monitor children's progress and report any concerns to parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes the well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
