BC Cancer is seeking an Oncology Specialist to enhance its team at the Kamloops Satellite Clinic, part of the esteemed BC Cancer – Kelowna network, situated in the picturesque Interior Region of British Columbia.

In alignment with the province's comprehensive 10-year cancer action initiative, BC Cancer, in collaboration with Interior Health, is establishing a new cancer facility at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, aimed at providing accessible cancer care for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with a distinguished team of specialized oncology professionals, including GP oncologists and allied health staff.
  2. Engage in clinical, research, administrative, and educational endeavors.
  3. Report directly to the Department Head of Medical Oncology at BC Cancer – Kelowna.
  4. Participate in the exciting development of the new cancer facility at Royal Inland Hospital.

Various service contracts and salary options are available.

Qualifications:
  1. Fellowship certification from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology.
  2. Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
  3. Eligibility for appointment to the medical staff of BC Cancer and Royal Inland Hospital.
  4. Eligibility for a clinical appointment at the University of British Columbia, Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine.
