PHSA is seeking an Oncology Radiation Specialist to become a vital member of our healthcare team. In this role, you will be tasked with delivering radiation therapy services and ensuring comprehensive patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards. Your responsibilities will encompass patient evaluation, treatment strategy formulation, execution, and follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care by evaluating patient needs, informing them about treatment procedures and potential side effects, and advising on self-care practices.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Execute treatment planning tasks, which include analyzing treatment plans, creating immobilization devices, and positioning patients to achieve optimal radiation dosage.
- Keep patients informed about available services and maintain precise patient documentation.
- Conduct routine quality assurance assessments on equipment and implement corrective measures as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Radiation Therapy or a recognized certification with CAMRT accreditation.
- Completion of a Radiation Therapy training program or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
- Familiarity with CPR protocols and equipment functionality.
