Job Summary:

The District of Saanich is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician II to join our Transportation and Development Services Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing technical work related to municipal engineering, including reviewing and responding to inquiries, preparing design drawings, and project managing smaller municipal infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and respond to public inquiries related to municipal engineering
  • Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Review design drawings and constructed works
  • Project manage smaller municipal infrastructure projects
  • Provide technical support to senior staff

Requirements:

  • Two-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Three months of related experience
  • Eligible for registration with the Applied Science Technologies and Technicians of BC
  • Conversant with computer-based engineering applications, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
