About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker's Helper to join our team at Richmond Cabinets Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will assist our cabinetmakers in the fabrication and assembly of custom cabinets and furniture.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the workshop.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products as needed.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and prepare and apply laminated plastics.
Requirements
  • Experience in a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle materials weighing over 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
