About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BIM & Digital Engineering Manager to join our team at Aecon Group Inc. as a key member of our Infrastructure Management Inc. division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of BIM and GIS across project disciplines, ensuring seamless integration and coordination.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to project teams, ensuring delivery of BIM and GIS in accordance with Aecon's IDD BIM related processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a resourcing profile for the IDD team, ensuring the right skills and expertise are in place to meet project goals.
  • Manage the link between client, consultant, and Aecon BIM teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Ensure BIM requirements support digital integration across all project functions.
  • Validate information models in accordance with ISO 19650 and the Institute for BIM in Canada toolkit.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience in Civil Construction practice.
  • 2-3 years' experience in large Infrastructure BIM Implementation.
  • 2-3 years' experience working with BIM Standards (ISO 19650/ Institute of BIM in Canada).
  • 2-3 years' experience with model federation platforms and Common Data Environments.
  • Detailed understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards.
  • Working knowledge of EHS regulations.
  • Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle.
  • Experience of working within construction project environments.
  • Desirable: experience of large complex projects in infrastructure, on-site construction experience, and bilingualism.
