About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at OEB Breakfast Co. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, manage food and kitchen supplies, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Lead and Train a Team

Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and training on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Manage Inventory and Budgets

Estimate ingredient and supply requirements, prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Ensure Quality and Customer Satisfaction

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customer complaints or concerns, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.

Establish Work Schedules

Develop and implement work schedules that meet the needs of the business and ensure adequate staffing levels.

Work Environment

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service or related industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively
Language and Work Term

The primary language of work is English, and the work term is permanent. The ideal candidate will be able to work 35 to 40 hours per week.
