Job Summary

School District 60 (Peace River North) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist/Physiotherapist to join our team. As a key member of our inclusive education department, you will play a vital role in providing physical therapy services to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy services to students with orthopaedic, neurological, muscular, spinal, or joint dysfunction
  • Assist in physical positioning to promote optimal physical access and maximize independence for students with limited mobility
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to prevent and alleviate movement dysfunction
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Stay up-to-date with the most relevant techniques and equipment to provide high-quality services
Requirements
  • Registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia
  • Eligibility for Canadian Physiotherapist Association membership and membership with the B.C. Association of Physiotherapists
  • Thorough knowledge of PT techniques and procedures in pediatrics
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
  • Ability to work with a variety of physically disabled students in different settings
