Air Freight Logistics Coordinator

At destinationone Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Import/Export Coordinator to join our team. As an Import/Export Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating air freight logistics, managing shipments, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with agents and clients to ensure smooth information exchange and timely updates.
- Pre-Alerts and Status Reports: Enter and send pre-alerts to keep customers and agents informed about air shipment departures, and prepare and send status reports to clients.
- Shipment Tracking: Track shipments with airlines, agents, and truckers for real-time updates and verify accuracy of relevant documents, such as bills of lading and prelims.
- Client Updates: Update clients and agents on shipment status regularly and arrange pick-ups from shippers in an organized and timely manner.
- Financial Management: Issue invoices accurately and on time, handle intents to claim and follow established procedures, and manage pending charges and financial transactions carefully.
- Client Service: Provide excellent customer service, solve problems effectively as they arise, and perform other job-related duties with dedication and care.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Certifications: CITT and/or CIFFA certifications considered assets.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience with Air Freight Import & Export logistics.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, experience managing third-party logistics providers, ability to interpret complex instructions, and excellent communication skills.
- Personal Qualities: Customer-focused, effective multitasking and organizational abilities, friendly, helpful attitude, and sound work ethics in a fast-paced environment.
