About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at THE RANCH HOUSE RESTAURANT. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Control: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with our culinary team to plan and execute menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition and manage food and kitchen supplies to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead by example and provide guidance and support to our culinary team to ensure that we consistently deliver exceptional food and service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Language: English or French, with the ability to communicate effectively with our team and customers.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
