About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Designer to join our team at Recollective, a leading online qualitative research platform. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to craft impactful solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply your expertise in UX and usability to design high-quality experiences that enhance the daily lives of researchers.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand and empathize with their workflows, wants, and pain points.
  • Lead user interviews, validation sessions, and usability tests to ensure designs meet customer needs.
  • Utilize data for informed decision-making, working closely with product managers and engineers during discovery, definition, and implementation.
  • Collaborate across departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and gather user insights from various customer-facing teams.
  • Work within and contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency in our design processes.
  • Test solutions before release to ensure alignment with designs and specifications for a seamless user experience.
  • Mentor team members, fostering their professional growth in product design within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Requirements
  • 5+ years in product design, emphasizing user-centered design.
  • Demonstrated Product Designer experience with a robust portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of usability principles and accessibility standards.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey design ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with user research methodologies and a data-driven approach to design.
  • Proficient in design and prototyping tools, including Figma.
  • Enthusiastic about evolving design techniques, tools, and expectations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is an asset.
  • Experience with designing AI-based solutions or features is an asset.
