Position Overview

The Senior Director of Market Strategy and Operations is a pivotal leadership position responsible for steering the global Go-To-Market (GTM) Project Management Office (PMO) and Business Operations (BizOps) functions within Telesat Lightspeed. This innovative telecommunications network, utilizing Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, is set to launch services worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the GTM PMO: Oversee the execution of all Lightspeed go-to-market initiatives, ensuring alignment and successful implementation across various departments including engineering, product development, marketing, sales, regulatory affairs, and operations.
  • Strategic Alignment: Facilitate strategic alignment among Telesat's senior leadership by reporting on key metrics and milestones, while identifying and mitigating risks.
  • BizOps Leadership: Define and enhance business processes and requirements, collaborating with IT and business users to automate and optimize operations.
  • Team Development: Build and manage a high-performing team within both the GTM PMO and BizOps, ensuring effective hiring and talent development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in program management, business process definition, and change management.
  • Proven experience in telecommunications business support systems (BSS) including CRM, order management, and billing systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • University degree in a relevant field.

This role may require occasional travel and is suited for candidates who can work in a dynamic and growing environment.
