About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst, Multilingual Solutions to join our team at the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. As a key member of our Housing program Team, you will play a critical role in reviewing, underwriting, and recommending approval of applications for financing under the National Housing Strategy (NHS) and existing CMHC programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and underwrite applications for contribution and/or loan approval, leveraging CMHC's various programs to find the most suitable solution.
  • Assess affordable, multi-unit housing applications for new construction and repairs, exercising prudence and due diligence.
  • Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs and objectives, exploring opportunities for growth.
  • Deliver the National Housing Strategy (NHS) and existing CMHC programs effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing support, communicating key decisions, and interpreting policies.
Requirements
  • An Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, and/or Commerce.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in credit/financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of construction financing, multi-unit underwriting, and credit risk analysis.
  • Experience in building reports and/or using statistical analysis software such as MS Excel or Power BI.
