Project Quality Director

Aecon is seeking a highly experienced Project Quality Director to join our team on the Darlington New Nuclear Project.

About the Role

The Project Quality Director will be responsible for setting the overall direction for quality assurance and ensuring that the joint venture is fully supported from a quality standpoint. This includes establishing standards and expectations for quality assurance and quality control across all projects, managing staffing requirements and resource sharing for the QA and QC department, and providing standardized reporting for the quality assurance and quality control functional areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance and quality control programs and processes
  • Manage and develop QA and QC professionals
  • Provide training and indoctrination for project staff and management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and implement quality metrics and reporting
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years' experience in a leadership or management role. A bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, physical science, or a related field is required, as well as certifications in quality engineering, quality auditing, and/or ISO-9000 auditing. Experience with ISO 9001 and developing and managing audit systems is an asset.
