Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Operate lighter, special purpose trucks, and load/unload goods with precision.
  • Obtain necessary permits and documents for international routes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections, maintaining a high level of safety and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch, relaying critical information and receiving updates.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Transport and handle hazardous materials, adhering to strict safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong judgment and organizational skills, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
