Job Summary

CNT construction. LTD is seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist medical examiners in charge and help with tasks as required.
  • Participate in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, following established procedures.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Pave and rake asphalt, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, ensuring efficient waste management.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, following established protocols.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the public.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in construction or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination are essential.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a strong focus on reliability, flexibility, and hard work.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Availability to work 32.5 hours per week.
