About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at River Guard Construction Ltd. as a Construction Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our construction team with various tasks, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as concrete and asphalt, from trucks and equipment.
  • Pre-Operational Inspection: Conduct pre-operational inspections on equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Reading Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure that tasks are completed accurately.
  • Instructing Apprentices: Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices on construction techniques and safety protocols.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair work on equipment and machinery.
  • Site Cleanup: Remove rubble and debris from construction sites, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Machine Operation: Operate machines and equipment used in construction, such as cranes and forklifts.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and handle heavy loads.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
