About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist to join our team at Paterson & Cooke Canada Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, supervising drafting personnel, and training new staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting: Prepare engineering designs and drawings, including construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise and train drafting personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Quality Assurance: Examine drawings for conformity and errors, and consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements.
  • Leadership: Lead and instruct groups, and provide guidance and support to team members.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and spreadsheet software. Excellent oral communication, organizational, and team player skills.
