Position Overview

Division 2 Environmental Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operating various types of heavy machinery in a range of environments.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation.
Work Environment

The role involves working primarily outdoors, where the operator will encounter various weather conditions and site environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy machinery including backhoe excavators, loaders, and dump trucks.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment tanks.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
  • Utilize GPS and other navigation tools to ensure precise operation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to execute tasks accurately.
  • Maintain logs and reports related to equipment operation and any incidents.
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to machinery as needed.
Skills and Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in operating various types of heavy equipment and possess a solid understanding of safety protocols, including the use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
