Position Summary
This recruitment is aimed at filling auxiliary on-call roles that require a commitment of 75 hours bi-weekly. It will create a 12-month eligibility list that may be utilized for similar roles within Yukon EMS.
This recruitment will also serve as a proactive measure for future permanent positions within Yukon EMS.
This role is situated in the vibrant and diverse community of Whitehorse, located in the picturesque Yukon region.

The Yukon Emergency Medical Services (YEMS) team provides a comprehensive range of pre-hospital medical care. Our mission is to deliver medical interventions, treatments, and exceptional care throughout the Yukon. Our work is guided by principles of leadership, commitment, and collaboration.
Ideal Candidate Profile
As a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), the successful candidates will utilize their professional Primary Care Life Support expertise to administer both emergency and non-emergency medical care to the residents of Whitehorse. The PCP will evaluate patient conditions to develop a treatment strategy and initiate necessary emergency and non-emergency interventions to ensure optimal patient health. This role is performed in settings where medical support is limited.
