About This Role

Giant Tiger is a dynamic and growing retailer seeking a skilled Softgoods Associate to join our team in Scarborough, ON. As a Softgoods Associate, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, including features, benefits, and pricing, to effectively communicate with customers and make informed sales recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including merchandise displays, fixtures, and backstock areas.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card sales, and returns.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and inventory management activities to ensure a visually appealing store environment and optimal inventory levels.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Ability to lift up to 18 kg (40 lbs) and stand for long periods.
