Job Summary

The Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team as an Adult Speech and Language Services Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in speech-language pathology and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide speech-language pathology services to adults in facilities and communities within the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to assess, intervene, and develop treatment plans for clients.
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide follow-up services to clients.
  • Work with clients to identify and address communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote speech-language pathology services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba.
  • Eligibility to practice and maintain licensure in Manitoba.
  • Experience in videofluoroscopic swallowing study (VFSS) an asset.
  • Skilled ability in assessment, identification, and treatment of clients with diverse diagnoses.
  • Ability to work under stress and time constraints.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an institutional setting and community therapy services setting.
  • Certifications by the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
