Our client, a reputable law firm in Downtown Toronto, is seeking a highly skilled Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Clerk/Legal Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to prioritize tasks, and have a comprehensive understanding of legal software and systems.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting interviews with clients, witnesses, and other parties;
  • Drafting correspondence and responding to incoming requests and inquiries;
  • Preparing legal documents, court reports, and affidavits;
  • Researching records and other legal documents;
  • Preparing for depositions;
  • Managing personal injury records;
  • Monitoring statute of limitations;
  • Completing OCF Forms for AB claims;
  • Preparing and filing FSCO mediation and arbitration forms;
  • Preparing discovery responses and reviewing discovery submissions.
What You Bring

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law, with previous law firm experience preferred;
  • Excellent organizational, record-keeping, and time-management skills;
  • Effective listening and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Law Clerk Diploma and/or ILCO Certification;
  • LEAP software experience, an asset.
