The Senior Advisor, Communications and External Relations at Medavie Blue Cross is instrumental in shaping and executing external communication strategies that resonate with our organizational goals and values. This role is essential in amplifying our public relations efforts, building trust within the community, and driving impactful engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive external communication strategies that align with Medavie Blue Cross's business objectives.
- Oversee initiatives related to community engagement and impact, providing detailed reports on outcomes.
- Curate and manage content across various communication platforms, ensuring relevance to targeted audiences.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to uphold brand integrity and generate meaningful content.
- Advise on strategic communication approaches and support various business initiatives.
- Develop and oversee community engagement programs to enhance Medavie Blue Cross's public image.
- Establish and track key performance indicators for communication efforts.
- Provide guidance on communication related to organizational changes and innovations.
- Ensure consistency in messaging across internal and external communications.
- Manage daily communication operations and assist with crisis communication as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in strategic communications, with a degree in Communications or Public Relations.
- Proven track record in developing and executing engagement strategies in dynamic environments.
- Experience in community outreach and advising senior management.
- Ability to address sensitive topics with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Exceptional written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong time management and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.
- Bilingualism is an asset but not mandatory.
