Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Client Service Assistant to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our Wealth Sales and Service team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Investment Advisors and clients in achieving their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional client service and support to Investment Advisors and clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks and transactions.
  • Coordinate marketing activities, including website updates, social media initiatives, and client recognition programs.
  • Assist with client meetings, including scheduling appointments and preparing necessary materials.
  • Handle client inquiries and requests, including basic money movement, technology issues, and account opening and updates.
  • Generate reports and documents as requested, and process items for client accounts and files.
  • Maintain and organize client database and files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Ensure transactions and tasks are assigned to team members and completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support to team members, including training on new technology and software.
  • Gather and distribute information on updates to training, guidelines, technology, and other business-related information.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
  • Follow all risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure the safeguarding of client assets and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Typically 1-2 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of wealth management company operations, including client services, trust services, and account transfers.
  • Familiarity with technology applications and software used in the financial planning and investment industry.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook exam within 18 months of hire.
  • Basic specialized knowledge and strong verbal and written communication skills.
