We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team at CA09 Labatt Brewing Company Limited. As a Shuttle Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering kegs to various locations, managing truck yards, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver kegs to customers and manage truck yards to ensure efficient operations
- Conduct daily circle checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Report any defects or issues to the Manager
- Add fluids to vehicles as required
- Knowledge of applicable weight regulations and ensure compliance
- Perform makeup orders or other assigned duties as needed
- Move kegs (160 lbs.) safely and efficiently
- Adhere to plant health and safety and environmental regulations
- Adhere to national Safety Code and all transport regulations imposed on large vehicles
- Assume responsibilities and follow Standard Operating Procedures in area of responsibility
- Actively implement VPO processes and use VPO tools to drive improvement in business
- Valid Class 1 Drivers License with an air brake endorsement
- 5 Years safe driving record in operation of a tractor-trailer
- Must be capable of driving all vehicles in the Company Fleet
- Must successfully complete a medical examination
- Must be physically capable and able to satisfactorily perform all regular duties of the position
- Must follow safe work practices and wear proper PPE
- Must be willing to work in all areas of the operation
- Must be willing to work shifts unsupervised as required
