About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Integration Analyst to join our team at Irving Oil. As a Data Integration Analyst, you will play a critical role in working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and other members of IT to define, build, test, and support the implementation of IT solutions related to our data integration and data analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify business requirements and understand issues related to data integration and analytics
  • Propose recommended solutions and participate in projects to implement them
  • Work with stakeholders and vendors to ensure alignment, resolve issues, and optimize existing solutions
  • Mentor junior Data Integration Analysts as they develop their skills and experience
  • Support the development of project plans, gather requirements, and create broad scopes
  • Evaluate the approach to deal with issues and escalate them with other IT team members and vendors when necessary
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years in enterprise-level application development and integration
  • Technical fluency in programming languages, including Java, SQL, and DOS/Shell Scripting
  • Hands-on experience with integration tools such as Talend, Informatica, and Mulesoft
  • Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Service Bus, and Enterprise Integration Patterns
  • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques
  • Competency with XML and JSON constructs
  • Confidence and experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST
  • Experience with securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication, authorization, non-repudiation, and data encryption methods
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge of network protocols and standards
