The Role

Our Controlled Document Sustainability team is seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our operational capabilities. The Controlled Document Sustainability Analyst will oversee the Controlled Document Library process, ensuring that our organization is ready to implement all necessary document modifications. This position will report directly to the Controlled Document Sustainability Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a collaborative process involving various stakeholders across TC Energy to resolve issues effectively and gain necessary support.
  • Conduct thorough business analysis for each document, including: understanding budgetary implications, assessing the extent of changes required, and developing comprehensive communication strategies and implementation plans.
  • Ensure high-quality execution of tasks related to: impact assessments, communication of changes, training on new or updated documents, and endorsement from a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Maintain and enhance the Controlled Document Sustainability processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and tracking issues for resolution.
  • Facilitate the endorsement process and coordinate with Document Change Coordinators and Document Contacts.
  • Promote ongoing enhancement of documents, processes, and systems.
  • Oversee external contractors, such as Technical Writers, as needed.
  • Collaborate with Information Management to ensure timely publication of documents.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics dashboards and provide regular updates.
  • Create and update training materials for process documentation.
  • Educate and communicate with all stakeholders to ensure clarity in their roles within the process.
  • Verify the accuracy of the Controlled Document Library, working closely with Information Management.
  • Design necessary tools to support job functions.
  • Organize and participate in meetings as required.
  • Undertake additional tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Power BI, SharePoint, Excel, Microsoft Access, and Word.
  • Strong follow-up skills and ability to monitor document review processes.
  • Commitment to achieving organizational goals and results.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities; capable of working independently and making informed decisions.
  • Ability to engage the right stakeholders in the review process based on business knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with stakeholders and Document Owners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SharePoint Office 365 and SAP.
  • Knowledge of the natural gas and broader energy sectors.
