We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join our Canada Data Office at Société Financière Manuvie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines on Azure.
Key Responsibilities- Data Engineering: Collaborate with business stakeholders and advanced analytics partners to gain a deep understanding of data and design connected data sets that enable users to self-serve.
- Leadership: Lead a team of data engineers, mentor, and guide them to promote a customer-first approach.
- Infrastructure Management: Ensure Azure applications run within SLA, implement robustness and security measures, and automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Implement automated code deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
- Agile Methodology: Participate in Agile sprints and ceremonies, supporting rapid iteration and development.
- Data Lineage: Maintain the inventory of critical data elements and lineage.
- Collaboration: Foster strong relationships and collaboration with various teams and partners within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with 5+ years of experience working with Azure-related data technologies.
- Solid understanding of Azure infrastructure, including subscriptions, resource groups, resources, access control, and security principles.
